Uptime Monitoring

Monitor the availability of your Odoo services.

calmo.cloud includes built-in uptime monitoring to keep track of whether your Odoo services are online and accessible.

How it works #

Uptime monitors periodically check your services by making HTTP requests to their URLs. If a service doesn't respond, calmo.cloud marks it as down and can notify you.

Setting up a monitor #

1. Go to Uptime Monitors #

In the sidebar, navigate to Uptime Monitors and click New Monitor.

2. Configure the monitor #

Provide:

  • URL — The address to monitor (e.g., https://erp.yourcompany.com)
  • Check interval — How often to test (e.g., every 5 minutes)

3. Save #

The monitor will begin checking immediately and report its status on the dashboard.

Monitor status #

Status Meaning
Up The URL is responding normally
Down The URL is not responding or returning errors

SSL certificate monitoring #

Uptime monitors also track the status of your SSL certificates. You'll be alerted when:

  • A certificate is about to expire
  • A certificate has become invalid
  • There are issues with HTTPS configuration

Snoozing alerts #

When you already know a site is down, for planned maintenance for example, snooze its monitor's alerts instead of turning the monitor off. Open ⋯ > Snooze alerts on the monitor's row, or Snooze alerts on its page, and pick how long:

  • 3, 6, 12 or 24 hours, or 3 or 7 days
  • Until back up — only while the site is down. You still get the recovery alert, and the snooze ends with it, so the next outage alerts you again.
  • Until turned back on — until someone clicks Resume alerts
  • Custom — until a date and time you pick (in UTC)

While a monitor is snoozed, none of its alerts reach any notification destination, recoveries included — except with Until back up. The checks keep running, so the uptime history stays complete. When a snooze with an end runs out and the site is still down, the next hourly reminder alerts you again. That is also why the shortest snooze is 3 hours: a down site is reported again every hour anyway.

The Alerts column of the monitors list shows which monitors are snoozed and until when. The monitor's page names who snoozed it. To snooze several monitors at once, select them and use the bulk action.

Acting on an alert #

Uptime and certificate alerts in Slack, Microsoft Teams and generic webhooks carry links:

  • Open monitor
  • Snooze alerts for 3 hours, 24 hours, until the site is back up (uptime alerts only) or until turned back on — or another time, which opens all the lengths above
  • Turn off uptime check (or Turn off certificate check for a certificate alert) — stops the check altogether, with no alerts and no history until you turn it back on

The links never change anything by themselves. Each one opens the monitor in calmo.cloud and asks you to confirm, after you have signed in. Only members of the monitor's team can confirm, so forwarding an alert gives nobody else control over the monitor.

Who did what #

The Activity timeline on a monitor's page names whoever snoozed or resumed its alerts, and whoever turned off a check, whether they did it in the panel or from an alert.

Dashboard view #

The monitoring dashboard gives you an at-a-glance view of all your monitored services, showing:

  • Current up/down status
  • Recent uptime history
  • Certificate expiration dates

Set up monitors for all your Live services. Catching downtime early minimizes impact on your business.
